Welcome

Welcome to my blog, and thank you for visiting.

I am not sure why with the whole World Wide Web of things to look at you decided to come here, but I’m very glad that you did.

I started this blog primarily so I had somewhere to record some of the thoughts that occur to me through the day while working in the garden. By turning some of these wispy clouds of ideas into written words I want to give them form and clarity, and I hope that the words manage to convey some of my idea to you, and stimulate a reaction. I would love to know what you think, so please do leave a comment.

I think that the act of writing regular(ish) posts for this blog will act as some kind of exercise for my writing muscles, and will improve my grammar, vocabulary and creativity. I apologise in advance for any errors, and I would be very grateful if you could point them out to me, as well as pointing me in the right direction.

Lastly, I come to what this blog will not be.

I won’t be writing any click bait articles, heavily soaked with the dark arts of ‘search engine optimisation’, designed primarily with the sole purpose of the theft of your precious attention.

I will not be writing any ‘how to’ articles to try and convey that I am an expert. I am always learning, just like you, and I will try to not patronise you.

I will not post any ‘listicles’, the dregs at the bottom of the writers barrel, giving you the ‘top ten…..’ or the ‘fifteen most useful …..’ when I feel my creativity at a low ebb and a deadline to post looming.

Most important of all, I will not be making any money from this blog. I will not accept any advertising, I will not be posting any affiliated marketing links, and I will not be recommending you buy any products. You did not come here to shop, so I will not be trying to sell to you.
